Messiah Lutheran Preschool meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:15 to 11:15 or 12:15 to 3:15.
The monthly fee is $90. Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Children must be 4 or 5 years old by Oct 15th - or close to the that date.
The High Scope Curriculum is used as this learning approach permits children to begin to set goals for themselves, stimulates their thinking processes and helps develop language and social skill.
Proper social skills are taught continually during the day. Children learn how to get along with each other, which we hope will carry over into the world where they will grow and learn. The children learn tolerance and maybe how to love those who are so different from themselves.
Great emphasis is also placed on independence, responsibility, and creativity.
We are not a Sunday School, Bible School or public school – but could be called a combination of all three. Children are as prepared for kindergarten as they can be. It is hoped that they will have an understanding of and love for Jesus. They learn to pray anytime, any place, or for anything.
Religion is not forced upon the students, Christianity is taught as a practical, functional way for children to survive, to love, to forgive, and to live the best life that they possibly can.
