Poppin’ into Miss Weber’s Preschool News
The month of February was full of sweets, fun, and lots
of learning. We had a great turnout for the Sweets’ Auction and want
to especially thank Jerry Wiese for being our auctioneer.
Thanks also to my preschool committee for their help and to
everyone who donated baked goods and gave money to this event.
We raised around $800 and donations are still coming in! The preschoolers had their Valentine’s parties on the
11th
and did balloon races, searched for hearts, played heart, heart,
valentine, and even decorated graham crackers with sprinkles and
frosting
☺ The children were also busy learning about the Walls
of Jericho, The Good Shepherd, Groundhog’s Day and shadows, dental
awareness, and President’s Day. We even made silhouettes and visited
a dentist office here in town. We have been singing songs to help us
count to 100, spell the colors, and remember the months of the year.
I even brought in root beer float supplies for the children
to help celebrate my birthday!
Such a fun month!
February report cards were also sent home to show how they have
improved in letter, shape, number, and color recognition.
The preschoolers will have
their spring break March 8-12. We will also be having our preschool
round-up on
Thursday, March 4th from 4:00-6:00 PM.
We have already filled 6 spots so spread the word if you know
a 3, 4 or 5 year old who wants to attend a great preschool!
